Dear Parents,

I am so sorry to have to inform you that the government have closed all schools until at least mid-February.

Despite my newsletter welcoming children back from tomorrow, I have to close the school with immediate effect. This means that there will be no children in school or in Kids Club tomorrow (Tuesday 5th January).

Remote Learning

From Wednesday 6th January we will be using Seesaw Remote Learning. Please read our Remote Learning section of January Newsletter to find out how this will work. More information about this will follow soon. READ THE NEWSLETTER HERE

Please can you ensure that you are receiving text messages, and that you have the correct email address on ParentPay for us to contact you on. Please also check facebook regularly.

From Wednesday 6th January we will be open to Keyworker and Vulnerable children only.

Please DO NOT use a keyworker place if you have an adult at home, even if you are ‘entitled’ to. The National Lockdown is intended to minimise community transmission. It will not do this if parents send their children in just because they can.

Keyworker provision is ONLY for parents who have no other childcare option when they have to work. Using this provision if you do have another option will mean that someone who is in need may be struggling to provide care for their child, and this is just not fair. It will also mean it will take longer for us to come out of lockdown, as transmission will be higher than it needs to be.

Parents are asked to consider others, and ONLY use this service if it it needed to allow you to perform your key worker roles.

If you think that you will need Keyworker provision, we urge you to read the keyworker and vulnerable children provision section on our January newsletter. READ THE NEWSLETTER HERE

If you need keyworker provision, please fill in the form below urgently (ideally tonight or at the latest by 10am tomorrow). We can then prepare groups and start provision on Wednesday.

We aim to offer Before/After school provision to keyworker children if they are in school during the day. Kids Club will be communicating more about this tomorrow.

On a personal note, my staff and I are deeply disappointed that your children will not be returning. We will try our best to provide the best on going provision we can until we are able to reopen.

With warm regards,

Liz Allbutt
